Project way
The work of rehabilitation centers is aimed at the comprehensive restoration of health, lost functions and the psycho-emotional state of a person for his return to a full-fledged life and adaptation in society.
Project goals
- To make the rehabilitation process more interesting and motivating for patients.
- Reduce monotony and psychological stress from repetitive exercises.
- Increase patient engagement in regular classes.
- Accelerate recovery through gamification and positive emotions.
Project description
The project is designed for rehabilitation centers where patients learn to walk again after injuries, surgeries or strokes. Instead of the traditional format where the patient just stares at the wall or at the doctors, we have created a VR solution that turns rehabilitation into an exciting journey through mountains, cities and fabulous worlds with interactive tasks.
Project solution
- We have developed VR scenarios in which the patient puts on a headset and enters different worlds: mountain landscapes, cozy cities, fabulous locations.
- We created scenarios with tasks that the patient performs while walking: walk along a path, climb a hill, go through a gate, collect items, and others.
- We shifted the focus from pain and fatigue to playing and exploring the world, making rehabilitation less boring and more meaningful.
Project results
As a result, patients received a more comfortable and engaging rehabilitation format, which makes it easier to bear the load and maintain motivation throughout the course. The VR format makes classes less monotonous, adds an element of play and exploration, which has a positive effect on the emotional state and willingness of patients to work on recovery. The project has become a modern addition to traditional rehabilitation methods.
